I receiv...Wow, you're slacking this week. :-p <br /><br />I received "The New Tsar: The Rise and Reign of Vladimir Putin" as an interlibrary loan. I also bought Max Barry's "The Machine Man", a novel about a man who has a synthetic limb put on after an accident and then decides to...well, take it further. Barry is a quirky author -- his novels are usually funny, so I'm interested in this one.<br /><br />A friend of mine was donating a box of books to the library, but gave me first dibs. Right now I'm considering "The Noonday Demon", a book on depression; "Strangers in Their Own Land", on the populist right; a book about the medical defeat of death, which I can't remember the title of; "Without Buddha, I Could Not Be a Christian", and..pretty sure there's another. Oh! JK Rowling's "Casual Vacancy".
