And pretty much, Dan Jones is my favorite historian. His books are well worth the money spent. And you can't go wrong with the Marshal one either if you are interested in the Plantagenets, he served five of the kings, starting with Henry II, the Henry the Young King, Richard I, John, and Henry III.
