Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc
UUUGGGGHHHH I am an idiot and somehow managed to over-write this post with the one for this coming Saturday. I have no idea how I even did it. But there were a lot of books here and most of them have been good. There were books from the library, NetGalley, a publisher, and Prime Reads. Boo/hiss for me being a dummy.
Happy Reading
Sarah
Looks like a good mix of books. I hope that you enjoy them when you get to them. Henry VIII and the Tudors are fascinating. I enjoyed doing them at school many years ago!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

When I restrated my reading journey, it was all Tudors, all the time. I have branched out since then, but it is always good to come back to where this all began with the Tudors.
DeleteA BUMPER crop for me this week. But don't worry, most of them are SF and the only non-fiction is about spies in WW1. My local charity shop had a whole stack of Warhammer 40K books - some of which aren't in print any more - so I just couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteNon-Fiction:
Spynest - British and German Espionage From Neutral Holland 1914-1918 by Edwin Ruis
Fiction:
Desert Raiders by Lucien Soulban
Rebel Winter by Steve Parker
Ravenor Returned by Dan Abnett
Relentless by Richard Williams
Gunheads by Steve Parker
The Traitor's Hand by Sandy Mitchell
Death or Glory by Sandy Mitchell
Duty Calls by Sandy Mitchell
Cain's Last Stand by Sandy Mitchell
Fifteen Hours by Mitchell Scanlon
Brothers of the Snake by Dan Abnett
It was only when I went back to pick up my 2nd batch (I was out shopping for other things so only picked up 4 the first time) that I realised the *only* one missing from my first viewing was a hardback that Amazon was charging over £300 for. The charity shop wanted £2... Someone out there definitely KNOWS their book bargains. Well played sir, well played.... [lol]
I LOVE when you post lists of books I am not interested in! lol. Alas, I know it will not last...
DeleteIndeed. Mall trip today... I *almost* picked up 'Eve' but another book muscled in & I chose that one instead...... Plus a *few* others - naturally...... [grin]
DeleteEve was so good, I think you will like it. Hopefully all you found today was SF and Military stuff!
DeleteI see numerous books I would love to add to my reading list.
