Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.
I've added a section to indicate if a book is from my TBR. Maybe that will shame me into focusing on the TBR because so far nothing else has worked 🤣

Happy Reading!

Just the one (non-fiction) from me this week - although I do have a previously unplanned Mall trip on Monday for a FREE NHS Health screening.... So a book (or two) treat on the way back I think!
ReplyDeleteThe Roman Revolution - Crisis and Christianity in Ancient Rome by Nick Holmes
I can't decide if I am interested in this one or not.
DeleteI thought it looked interesting. Plus its the first book in a set of four about the Fall of Rome... Oh, and reading a good (old) book about the 100 Years war ATM... But I think you've already read it....
DeleteRome is so hit and miss for me. But I will have to look into the series. What's the title of the one you're reading now?
Delete'A Brief History of The Hundred Years War - The English in France 1337-1453' by Desmond Seward (1978).
DeleteI've not read that one! I like Seward's books, even if they're older.
DeleteThat cover on A Killer Wedding is compelling. You could certainly take that title more than one way though the cover screams horror. I hope you enjoy them.

I am hoping to start it today! I love isolated locations with rich people behaving badly and lots of secrets and some murder. I just hope it lives up to my expectations because it sounds SO GOOD!
DeleteI bought one this past week and added a few from the library...contemplating buying a few more books this week, LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I wondered how long you could hold out on the library! We've been home on vacation and now slowly my holds are coming in so I have to start picking up books literally the afternoon we get back.
