Stacking the Shelves #358

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

  1. A regular 5 from me this week... but I *think* you'll be safe!

    Non-Fiction:

The Northern Question - A History of a Divided Country by Tom Hazeldine

    Fiction:

The Last Family in England by Matt Haig
Sherlock Holmes and the Shadwell Shadows by James Lovegrove
    The Conqueror by Georgette Heyer
    The Cardinal by Alison Weir

Oh, and I've *just* finished 'The Dry'.... Nive & twisty @ the end. Kept me guessing most of the way although I was at least *starting* to suspect the killer before it was revealed... [lol]

    1. You tricked me with the Northern Question one! I was thinking it would be about Ireland. But you're right, I am safe this week.

I'm glad you liked The Dry! I was the same way, starting to suspect the killer before the reveal. I reeeeeeally like being right, lol.

    1. You too! I was overcompensating a little bit because my Kindle died but I finally broke down and bought a new one (which I could not really avoid - way too many ARCs and I hate reading on my laptop; t's been dead for almost two weeks). But a few of these books have gone right back into the library bag since I have my new Kindle.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. Thanks so much, you too!

That was part of the draw for me, I don't know how I feel about the cover either! It's eye-catching for sure but...it makes me uncomfortable.

I added The Light Ages to my tbr because I hate it when people call it The Dark Ages so I appreciate the twist in the title and topic and it sounds fascinating! Also The Great Mortality sounds like an interesting read as well if bleak. I hope you have a great week of good books :)
