Stacking the Shelves #294

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc

    1. I really liked it. And I only figured out who the killer was because there were no other options left.

    1. It was a good read, I liked it a lot! Jaime is on a roll. Better get my hold requests in so I'm at the front of the line when it comes in!

  3. Just 2 non-fiction from me this week:

The Last Assassin - The Hunt for the Killers of Julius Caesar by Peter Stothard
The Last Million - Europe's Displaced Persons from World War to Cold War by David Nasaw

    1. Oooh, both sound interesting. I will see if our library has them when Eleanor and I get back from vacation.

    2. I had a BAD feeling that both might appeal...

    3. Our library has The Last Million, but not The Last Assassin. But somehow a search for Assassin brought up France on Trial by Julian Jackson, about Petain's trial in 1945. So basically, you are adding to my TBR both directly AND indirectly.

    4. The Jackson/Petain book is on my Amazon Wish list.

    1. I really liked it and was unsure who the killer was until they were literally the only one let who had not been accused. It takes a lot to surprise me these days, so I call that a win!
