Goodbye, Summer!

Well it's that time of year again! I was pretty quiet recently, aside from scheduled posts, as Eleanor and I enjoyed our last week of freedom together.

I started teacher work days today and students come back next week. Eleanor starts on Friday!

We have also been super busy with dance. Eleanor is attending a new studio after five years at her previous one, and she's been in rehearsals for the competition season. The next two weeks are full of rehearsals too, then classes begin. And on top of that, on Friday we found out she is getting a solo! This is huge, and something she has wanted so badly. I love that the studio is willing to give everyone a chance in the spotlight, not just the super elite elite elite dancers. Eleanor could not stop shrieking about it, and this Momma is so SO proud of her.

I will get back to everyone this week, I love how much love I get, even when I randomly disappear for a bit. I am so thankful for all the wonderful blogger buddies I have.

PLUS, if I hide out, CK can't add any more books to my TBR, so I have that going for me...especially because I just added five new books to my Currently Reading list - four I was approved for on NetGalley, and a publisher gift via NetGalley 😱😱😱

Anyway, that's all for now. I will get around this week in between looooooooong work days and dance rehearsals. Miss you all!

Happy Reading
Sarah

  2. Thanks for the mention... I *think*...! [lol] Good to see the Kiddo keeping her future options open - detective, historian, ghost hunter and dancer..... Did I miss anything? [grin] I think the kids here have still got around 3 more weeks before they're back [in person!] @ school. I know my sister's youngest are looking forward to it..

    1. There is no limit to what this girl of mine can do. I am thanking God every day He chose us for one another. She is endlessly curious and tenacious and brave. I am so proud of how hard she worked to show her new studio that she can commit to the demands of a solo. I can't wait to see choreography - she will learn it this coming Sunday!

Good luck to the kiddos going back!

  3. A solo?! That's great! Go Eleanor!

No worries if you vanish for a while as long as you don't hold it against me either! I started classes last Thursday and am trying to work out everything.

That's really great you're going back to school - I toy with that idea from time to time. Do I NEED a PhD in European History? No, but...

Good luck hitting the books again, and see you when you have a spare moment!

    1. Thank you so much, Ethan. So far we have under cases district wide, including teachers and students. It is concerning, but so far our school has only had one confirmed case. Eleanor's school has had none. Fingers crossed!
