Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.
I've added a section to indicate if a book is from my TBR. Maybe that will shame me into focusing on the TBR because so far nothing else has worked 🤣

Lots of great reads! That Stephanie Morrill book likes interesting. Hope you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I loved the cover and snatched it up - only to find it is book two. Luckily my library had book one so I am planning to read that this afternoon and get to the second one this week, fingers crossed!
DeleteLove the cover for The Lost Girl of Astor Street. I hope you enjoy all of these. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI got that one because I requested book two on NetGalley without realizing it was a book two, lol. Both covers are great, but the main character is kind of a moron, and they're set in the 20s, but the feel is still very modern, which is kind of difficult.
DeleteWhat an intriguing bunch of books! Okay, I have to be curious about The Cadaver King and The Country Dentist. What a title!
ReplyDeleteRight??!! Apparently the two men were very shady in their work, which led to the wrongful conviction of at least two men for a brutal double murder of two very young children, which is the case that the book centers on. But these two men are likely not their only errors, and in Mississippi, you know that means many Black men and women went to prison for crimes they didn't commit.
DeleteA 'reasonable' 3 from me this week... but I am going to the Mall on Tuesday for my monthly visit!
ReplyDeleteFiction:
Odyssey by Stephen Fry
Non-Fiction:
American Naval History - A Very Short Introduction by Craig L Symonds
Invasive Species - A Very Short Introduction by Julie L Lockwood & Dustin J Welbourne
Not bad at all!
