There are worse things to be addicted to...

Since I have started posting about cozy book nooks, I thought I would share my own reading spot that I love dearly. The chair is from my grandparents, who'd had the set (I have both now) for many years before getting new furniture. These chairs are among my most favorites, because they always bring back good memories of summers spent on grand adventures at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

As you can also see, the five-shelfer has quickly been overwhelmed. Not only have the stacks spilled over on the floor and end table, but with the exception of the top shelf, the rest are two-deep. Oops.

My plan was to read what I had and then sell back to Half Price Books in order to buy new ones. But I acquired books more quickly than I read them, and this is the result. I have another fiver in my room with the books I will never get rid of, and deep down I know that a lot of these will fall into that category once I am done reading them.

Happy Reading!
Sarah

  1. Nice little reading nook! And there's something comforting about stacks of books. :)

    1. Same here!! Plus, so many of these are not even on my TBR...and that thing is over 4000 books long! I have accepted the fact that I will die before I get to read every book that I want.

  3. Impressive. I hope that you have STRONG floors with that many hardbacks. My rooms look something similar except the books are (mostly) paperbacks.

    1. Ah yes, I hope it is sturdy too - so far, so good. I don't have a particular preference for hard back or soft cover, whatever is available at the shop at the moment!

  4. Lovely cosy nook :-)
I've only got one shelf here so I have to be so strict about using the book exchange. Fortunately they're popular so there's usually new-to-me books to be found

    1. If there is one thing I am terrible at, it is being strict with books! But I have been doing really well clearing out my Kindle. I will be able to tackle the shelves once I get my first draft written.
