Eleanor Reads: November Edition

I figured I might as well stop calling this a 'special edition' seeing as how it is now a monthly thing. It started as a special feature when schools closed down in March due to COVID-19 and has continued since then.

Each month I will share the chapter books we've read in that period. We've been reading chapter books since before Kindergarten and her attention span as a four year old was definitely something to brag about. Eleanor was born a reader and that makes my heart so, so happy.

Read

DNF

Well, it finally happened. Eleanor has DNF-ed her first book. We love mermaid stories but this one was weird and boring. Not to mention the title is misleading because the three on the cover are the good mermaids, so...Either way, it was bland and boring and not nearly as funny as claimed.

#BookDragonsForever

Do the kiddos in your life have an interest in any of these?

Happy Reading,
Eleanor and Sarah

  1. So... Ghosts, Vampires, monsters and.... Pandas! [lol] Plus your little one's *first* DNF. You must be so proud!! [grin] But at least it means she's discriminating and won't just read any old rubbish. Life is far too short to waste on bad books.

    1. Yep, all things paranormal...and cuddly pandas. We do love our snuggly and adorable animals in this house. I was SO PROUD when she decided she did not want to finish the mermaid nonsense. It was trash and silly.

  2. Looks like the Doom books were a favorite.

    1. Yes! we blew through them SO FAST. There are only two left and we have read them out of order but oh well, it is a great series!
