First Line Friday #174

First Line Friday is a weekly feature and simple to do - grab the book nearest you and post the first line. Carrie hosts this over on her blog Reading is my Superpower.

The destroyers came from out of the desert

Happy Reading!

  1. I'm planning to (finally) get to Nixey later in the year. Looking forward to your review.

"It's not ordinary for a bare-chested man wearing jaguar teeth and owl feathers to grace the pages of The New Yorker, but these are not ordinary times."

'Biomimicry - Innovation Inspired by Nature' by Janine M Benyus

    1. Not ordinary times, indeed. As for Nixey, I will hopefully get to it over the summer. I am trying to focus on the TBR right now.

  2. The Darkening Age sounds like an interesting read. I find the history of religions fascinating. I hope you have a great weekend, Sarah!

    1. I'm excited to read it. I also think the history of religions is so interesting, especially as they overlap and interact. Happy Reading!

Thanks for visiting my little book nook. I love talking books so leave a comment and let's chat!
