Tackling the TBR Week 9: March 1-March 7, 2019

Each week I will be keeping track of books that I have read from my TBR. I have a huge backlog of books and often end up reading new books that are not even on my list, instead of trying to whittle down the list that continues to balloon up on Goodreads. Chuckles had the idea first, and we are going to use this as a chance to encourage each other to get those books read instead of always grabbing new ones and thus never making a dent in the physical and digital stacks we already have. It will also give us a chance to take a good look at our lists and see if there are ones we are no longer interested in. We will be posting on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and the last day of the month.

Previous Week's TBR Total: 3,843

Books Added to TBR This Week: 13

Books Removed from TBR This Week: 23

Currently Reading: 12

Books Finished This Week: 5

Books DNF-ed This Week: 0

Duplicates Removed: 2

Rereads:
 1

New TBR Total: I got 3,822 but Goodreads says 3,825. Go figure.

Is your TBR under control, or a hot mess like mine?

Happy Reading!
Sarah

    1. You just have to give up television, movies, and cleaning. Then, like me, you can accomplish nothing but reading, reading, reading, lol. But in truth, reading helps me relax and calms any stress or anxiety I have about my job. So when Eleanor goes to sleep, or she is at her dad's, I read. Okay, so I have not totally given up cleaning, we're not heathens. But yeah, I never watch television anymore, and we only really watch movies during rest time or to snuggle up on cold winter days.

  2. You're doing great Sarah! As long as that total keeps coming down, we're getting there!

    1. Thanks Chuckles! Sometimes it feels like things are moving at a snail's pace. I HAVE to stop going to the library each week, it only adds to my list!!

  3. Let's see. During those seven days I only finished 2 novels. The Witch Elm by Tana French (on my TBR since it was published late last year and over 500 pages) and Lake City by Thomas Kohnstamm, a recent arrival from my Nervous Breakdown Book Club subscription. I am sure I added more books than that in the same period. Hot mess!

    1. Hot mess, it is! I think I will consider mine a hot mess until it is under 1,000. I honestly don't know if it realistic for me to even get the number that low!
