  1. Hard to beat a good crime book - Fact or Fiction.

A reasonable 4 for me this week. Two of each...

    Fiction:

    Matrix by Lauren Groff
    Light Seekers by Femi Kayode

    Non-Fiction:

The Interest - How the British Establishment Resisted the Abolition of Slavery by Michael Taylor
Waves Across the South - A New History of Revolution and Empire by Sujit Sivasundaram

    1. YAY! No books to be added to my CK-SUB-TBR, lol

The Casey Anthony book ended up being a big disappointment. Baby Caylee deserved so much better than literally everything that happened to her.

    1. I did, too. It was the first one of hers I read, then I checked out all of her others when I finished it. They're even better!

  4. That's a very interesting mix of books. I'm especially intrigued by "Lucy's Bones...etc." because I actually visited Lucy's bones at the Houston Museum of Natural Science when they were there several years ago. I was profoundly moved by them. It was almost a religious experience.

    1. I would love to see her bones, that would be such an amazing experience. Too be in the presence of that much pre-history...I can't even comprehend it.

    1. So far all have been good except the one about Caylee Anthony's murder. In addition to being a hugely heartbreaking case, everyone wanted to make money off of her murder - including the pompous prosecutor.
