Monday Meme #36

I am reviving this little feature after eight years. You might see a couple recycled from when I did this in 2016, but they were funny then and they are still funny now. Occasionally they will be more introspective or comforting. No matter what, they will be about reading and books.

Teehee. Sometimes it is so hard to not tell something. But I don't because it's mean. It doesn't stop me from giggling about it though.

Happy Reading!
Sarah

  1. Of if you know a *little* bit about the plot and say: Oh, I really liked that - except the bit where 'X' dies....!

    1. Or "Have you gotten to the point where....well, nevermind. You'll see." (silent evil chuckle)

    2. Luckily I don't read a ton of fiction so I don't do this too often. But when I DO read fiction...watch out. Because I want to tel EVERYTHING.

    3. I have definitely cackled before when I tell someone about a book I have read that they are reading.

    4. A former GF had the tendency to completely recap every book and every movie she wanted to share. Give me an enticing blurb, lady, not the entire plot!!!

    5. I had a CLASSIC conversation about a TV show/soap opera here called 'Brookside'. I was at a friends house & they had house guests who where travelling around over the summer break so hadn't been able to watch 'Brookie' for about 6 weeks, but had been taping (showing how long ago it was) the omnibus edition at the weekends so they could catch up when they got back home. The series was based near Liverpool so one of the guests asked me if I watched it, being from there. I replied that I did, but had stopped watching it when Beth (my favourite character & one often in the 'press') died. To which one of the couple shouted:

"Beth's... **DEAD**!" at the TOP of her voice.... Needless to say they where NOT impressed with me!!!
