Stacking the Shelves #88

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

Kindle Unlimited
10126170 32600750. sy475  27261466. sy475
17623468 17818665 40682437. sy475  8709533

Might as well take advantage of the trial before it expires; almost none of the books on my TBR are ever available on KU. The Great Circus Train Wreck is the only one that was actually on the list before this little spree ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I guess I was in the mood for other man-made disasters that might end okay for some people, seeing as how the 'president' has fucked up the one we are living beyond repair.

What did you add to your stash this week?

Happy Reading!
Sarah

    1. I didn't see that! Mine is the free trial I got when I purchased my new Kindle. It's very dangerous because I find interesting titles, but almost none are on my TBR and it is not like I should be making that list ny bigger!

  2. As I've been outside for about 10 minutes in the last week (and don't 'do' books electronically) there's just two non-fiction for me this week...

The Viral Storm - The Dawn of the New Pandemic Age by Nathan Wolfe
Kraftwerk - Future Music from Germany by Uwe Schutte

    1. The Viral Storm, how timely! We went out today because I needed to get some copies made of school materials for Eleanor and it was torture. I was constantly keeping Eleanor away from people, away from touching anything, it was honestly stressful. There truly are people who do not care or take this seriously, and now younger and healthy people are dying too, so I am extra vigilant. Last time we went to a shop was for groceries about two weeks ago, then after getting copies today we needed milk. We do not leave unless absolutely necessary, I am taking no chances.

  3. My dear, you have a macabre list here! This week I have added The Women in Black by Madeleine St. John, and Prague in Black and Gold by Peter Demetz. We are sitting tight in Syracuse NY and hoping we have enough books on the shelves to get us through this! Stay safe!

    1. Hi Donna! I did not intend for it to be such a creepy list, but it certainly turned out that way, didn't it?! Kindle Unlimited can be so dangerous, it always seems to add dozens of books to my TBR. Luckily all of these have been quick reads so far and I am almost done with all of them already! Hope you are staying safe inside, and here's to reading dozens and dozens of books to pass the time!

    1. Hi Ethan, thanks for stopping by! I've heard of this book but not read it. Have you started it yet?

    3. That would be great! I do not read a whole lot of fiction, but certain titles intrigue me.

  5. Yikes I forgot to link up to this. Oh well... my mind is frazzled. And yes couldn't agree more...

    1. I've finished almost all of them already, big surprise. They are quick reads. Some have turned out surprisingly well and some are devastating. So...still better than the shit-show right now.

  6. I like the collection you collected!
I had three come in, in the mail of course. How I miss my libraries, though I have plenty to read!
Two from my Archipelago subscription, translated lit:
The Society of Reluctant Dreamers by Jose Eduardo Agualusa set in Angola
Occupation Journal by Jean Giono set in France during the Nazi occupation.
One from my Nervous Breakdown Book Club subscription:
Starling Days by Rowan Hisayo Buchanan, a novel which looks upsetting but in a good way.

    1. I only went for the one about the circus wreck and came away with all kinds of tragedy. I too miss the libraries but like you, we have TONS to read at home!
