Well, Shit...

Eleanor's dad has tested positive for COVID-19, so guess who has to now quarantine because she has been exposed?

That's right.

Eleanor.

We would much appreciate prayers, positive thoughts, good vibes, and basically any and all things that could possibly help to keep my baby girl from testing positive for this virus.

On the plus side, we will get a TON of reading done in the next fourteen days.

Happy Reading!
Sarah and Eleanor

    1. Thank you! Eleanor is showing now symptoms, except she said her throat was dry and I don't know if that is a symptom or not? I have had headaches off and on since early Friday and last night and today am feeling super tired. Hopefully that's nothing and it just means it is the end of the second quarter for school and my body is ready to shut down and sleep to recharge!

  2. Oof! As someone who's done ~ three weeks of quarantine, you have my sympathies. When will you know?

    1. Yikes! Are you all good now and out of quarantine?? I will get Eleanor tested tomorrow, and then we will know if I need to get tested. Hopefully we have results by Thursday, if testing is necessary.

    2. Oh, yeah! I was in quarantine from September 20 to October 10. Negligible symptoms, just a 2-day cough and some fatigue.

    3. Dang! I didn't even know! I definitely had the fatigue I thought, and I am still tired, but that could also just be from the stress of this all happening and also that it was the last weeks of school before break.

  3. Oh no! Fingers crossed for you all that she hasn't caught and that her Dad will be ok.

    1. Thank you so much! We are hoping she does not catch it, and that the short contact I had with him Thursday and Friday means no COVID for me because we were not around each other very long.

  4. Well, SHIT indeed! Here's wishing the *VERY* best for all three of you. I do hope the test comes back negative (for both of you?). I guess you can still work remotely if you need to though and that you have your groceries sorted? BUGGER though.... Just BUGGER!

    1. Thank you so much, hopefully a negative for both of us! I don't think I am actually allowed to work remotely, if I end up testing positive. Something to do with how the CARES Act money is distributive, I can't do anything work-related at all.

I've put in orders for groceries and a friend is going to ick up the produce, because those store shoppers never look for good produce, they just grab the first one they see and I have ended up throwing so much out from ordering online.

      BUGGER, indeed!!!

    2. I've suspected as much -- I've never used the curbside at Walmart even though people rave about it. I'm picky about my lettuce and avacacados, sorry.

    3. I tried it at a couple different grocery stores and had pretty much the same results. Luckily my BFF was able to bring us yummy and healthy fruit and veggies, plus eggs. I use curbside for everything else though.

  10. Ugh. Not the kind of news we want to hear, but I know you'll be soaking up the extra time with Ellie. How are you both doing? I'm still working from home, so it has been a bit easier to keep safe.

    1. Glad to hear from you and know you are still working from home! Eleanor was done with quarantine mid-week and able to return to dance and school before Christmas break. My tests were all negative, despite minor symptoms that I experienced (headache and fatigue). Eleanor never had any symptoms, so we are (hopefully for good!) in the clear. The only good thing about quarantine is we got lots and lot and lots of reading done!

    3. It really isn't. I found out this week that teachers in my district will be able to get the Moderna vaccine first and I am SO RELIEVED.
