Now I gotta see if I can get The Real Valkyrie! I love anything to do with vikings!
ReplyDeleteI am super excited to get it started - probably will still get to it this weekend. I love learning about the Vikings also. They're so much more complex than originally thought.
DeleteViking warrior women. Yes please. I've always liked the Valkyrie. No wonder the Norse invaded everyone though. Their myths were a mess! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's putting it nicely, lol
DeleteJust four from me this week - although one was 'unplanned' and another was a late delivery from last week.
ReplyDeleteFiction:
A Deathly Silence by Jane Isaac
Non-Fiction:
Weapons of Math Destruction - How Big Data Increases Inequality and Threatens Democracy by Cathy O'Neil
Northmen - The Viking Saga 793-1241 by John Haywood
Can It Happen Here? - Authoritarianism in America edited by Cass R Sunstein
Ha, you won't get me this time because Northmen is already on my TBR! lol
DeleteThey all sound highly interesting. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've already finished Hidden Valley Road and Fire in Paradise. I'm anxious to get going on the other two.
DeleteYou read so fast! Since Covid, I haven't been able to read as much. I hope I can pick it up again ...
DeleteI do a lot of reading when Eleanor has to go to her dad's house for a weekend. It is the only thing that makes the weekends go by fast so she can come back home again!
DeleteI used to do a lot of reading during the day when hubby was at work. Now that he's home all the time, we try to do as much stuff together.
DeleteI can imagine how much you miss her over the weekends.
So much! I hate when she has to be away from home, it is hard on both of us.
DeleteIt's good that you can spend quality time together!
That's how I see it, I get less reading time but we can be together all the time which is even better during these hard times with Corona regulations etc.
DeleteI can imagine how much you miss Eleanor. Big hugs.
Yes, it is really hard when she is gone. Luckily she will be home in a few hours!
DeleteHugs 🤗
DeleteThank you <3
DeleteKlara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro on i-Books for an April reading group.
ReplyDeleteI saw Dorothy's review of the book on her blog and hopped in the queue for it at the library. Sounds fascinating.
DeleteI added Klara and the Sun which I am currently reading and loving.
ReplyDeleteI loved your review. It made me go get in line for it at the library!
