Just A Note...

So I have been quiet in terms of responding because Eleanor and I have been home with family in Minnesota for a while. I have had scheduled posts going up that I had done before we left.

I had to take my grandpa to the ER on Monday night and he is still in the hospital. He is doing much better today than he was on Monday, but does not have a discharge date yet.

I've spent lots of time at the hospital with him yesterday and today; he is alert and chatting and his usual charming self. But, he is still sick and will be there for a bit longer. I will be going back again tomorrow and Friday as well.

We would appreciate all manner of prayers, positive and happy thoughts, good vibes - whatever you are inclined to send our way.

There are a few more posts scheduled to go up in the next couple days and I will get back to you all soon.

Happy Reading!

Sarah

  3. Sorry to hear about your Grandpa but it looks like he's fully on the road to recovery. I will, naturally, keep as many fingers crossed as I can and still type!

How's the temps where you are/have been? Been watching the heat bubble on the news. I know that Mudpuddle has been experiencing some extremes where he is. A pleasant 70F here today...

    1. Seconding CK...hope all continues to be well with him and that you dodge the worst of that weird heat-dome. I understand it contributed to a fire that consumed an entire village in British Columbia.

    2. Thank you, CK <3

We've had some pretty gross temps the last few weeks and some days have been hotter than previous years at this same time. Thankfully things are more or less normal now. Hot and sticky, I hate humidity! I can handle a dry heat no problem. But that humidity is disgusting!

    3. Thank yu, Stephen <3

We didn't get much of the heat dome - to my knowledge anyway. Anything over about 75 feels gross to me, especially when humidity is really high. I saw the reports on that village in BC, such an awful story.
