Tackling the TBR Week 37: Sept 22 - Sept 30, 2022

This is year FOUR of Tackling the TBR and I finally have things sort-of under control. My ultimate goal would be to get under 500 books, but I also have to be realistic - just think of all the books not even written yet that I will want to read. When I started this mess  I was at well over 5,000 books on the TBR, so to be where I am now is pretty incredible.

I will post on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and last day of the month.

Prevous Week's TBR Total: 2,366

Currently Reading
Like I mentioned last week, Blogger and I are fighting. Don't know why but something weird is happening with images I try to upload to a post. It let's me add a couple, then freezes the whole page and won't respond. I would rather show off the books I have finished for the week than what I am currently reading. Hopefully this gets sorted soon!

Books Added to TBR: 0

Books Removed from TBR: 0

  1. Blogger is drunk. Ever since they upgraded (ha) things a year or so ago I've had problems formatting, with images, etc. Thank God the comments are a little better. I still have stuff going to spam but not like before. anywho... so you read Lies and Five Total Strangers. Lokking forward to seeing what you thought. I picked up Secrets So Deep because it reminded me of Tidepools- water plus horror- although I think it's going to be very different. The cover grabbed me if I'm being truthful.

    1. YES!! Formatting has been wonky, and since then I can no longer just copy and image and paste it, I have to save the image and then upload. Takes so much extra time!! Lies was really good and I think you'll like it. I also think you will really like The Mary Shelley Club, if you have not read it yet. Killer Content was fun in a very timely way, but like Strangers will involve a little bit of not questioning some things as you go. I think you would like any of the ones I read this last week, with varying degress of love it-like it-okay. I have to find Secrets So Deep, it is not in our library catalogue. I requested a purchase, so hopefully they get it ASAP! I requested her other book, so at least I will have that to start with...on top of all the others I also have already...oops.

    2. I am hoping Secrets So Deep is the October water horror I'm looking for! I'm a sucker for that anyway. Give me all the killer mermaids/ aquatic horrors/ whatevers. Anyway... adding those. I'll prioritize Lies and add Mary Shelley and Content- I overlooked that book I guess.

    3. I am excited for Secrets, it looks really good. My purchase suggestion is still under review at the library, so fingers crossed! Killer Content is not great, but it's fun. Mary Shelley though....fuuuuck that book is good!

  2. Needless Street and Real Bad Things are both on my TBR. I may need to take them off!

    1. Real Bad Things should have been a decent read, I just could not connect with any of the characters and they were very bland. The story was also plodding along pretty slowly, which normally I do not mind, but in those instances I have had some connection.

Needless was just a cluster. I like unreliable and odd narrators, but it felt like it was just trying way to hard.
