First Line Friday is a weekly feature and simple to do - grab the book nearest you and post the first line. Carrie hosts this over on her blog Reading is my Superpower.
Looking forward to your review. Two Roman Britain books down here, one more to go....
"The studio was filled with the rich odour of roses, and when the light summer wind stirred amidst the trees of the garden, there came through the open door the heavy scent of the lilac, of the more delicate perfume of the pink-flowering thorn."
I don't have any of my books nearby but my son left his on the table so I took a peak. His first line reads 'I stood next to Breeze in a small quartz room'
Happy Saturday! I'm currently reading Of Shadow and Gold by Michelle Griep. It is so good! "It felt wrong to leave like this, which was frustrating." I hope you are having an excellent weekend so far. Happy reading! 🙂❤️📚
