I am reviving this little feature after eight years. You might see a couple recycled from when I did this in 2016, but they were funny then and they are still funny now. Occasionally they will be more introspective or comforting. No matter what, they will be about reading and books.
Happy Reading!

There's shopping for books, browsing for books, buying books, having books and reading books.... All VERY different things....! [lol]
ReplyDeleteYES!! I browse to see what I want to read, add books to Goodreads, and see if the library has them. Then they sit on my 5-shelf bookcase for years and someday I might read them. lol
DeleteDefinitely a "no comment moment" for me. I'm typing this next to a pile of unreads hahaha
ReplyDeleteI have a whole 5-shelf bookcase of TBRs *facepalm* Not even thinking about everything on my Kindle or the stack of library books.
DeleteI read on my Kindle now and tend not to get a book until I'm ready to read it. No more stacks of books for me!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your shelf-control!
DeleteAbsolutely great! And Kitten is right, collecting books is a totally different hobby from reading them. LOL
ReplyDeleteRight?! I should read the books, but I also just like to look at them.
DeleteDefinitely. They are so pretty.
DeleteI will say though, fiction tends to be prettier than non-fiction.
DeleteThat depends. I know some beautiful non-fiction covers.
DeleteThey usually come with long subtitles, and some even with ridiculously long subtitles, and that makes them a lot less pretty.
DeleteBut they have more words in them which makes them perfect for "Spell the Month ...". ;)
DeleteMaybe, but I am super picky and try for it to always be the first word, even if the first word is The.
DeleteI think we are meant to use the first word, unless it's The or A. And I usually do that. But sometimes ...
DeleteRight, that's why I use it, even if it is The.
DeleteWell, a and t don't appear that often, so I usually find a book with a "real" word.
