Yikes the Titanic!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great read, and I did not even cry!
DeleteDefinitely on my interest list - once it's out in paperback.
ReplyDeleteA reasonable 4 for me this week:
Fiction:
Imperial 109 by Richard Doyle
Non-Fiction:
The Road to Oxiana by Robert Byron
In Ruins by Christopher Woodward
The Five - The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper by Hallie Rubenhold
The Five is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!! Easily one of the best books I have ever read, and definitely one of my top reads last year. I learned so much more about the women then I even knew was available, I was really impressed with how much Rubenhold was able to learn about them. In previous books I have always gotten the impression that there was not much to know at all, because the murderer was always the focus. Such a great book, I am interested in your thoughts when you finish it!
DeleteI don't usually buy hardbacks (expensive, heavy etc) as I usually take so long to read any particular book that it's out in paperback before I get around to it. But my local bookstore was selling The Five at half price and I didn't want to appear rude and not buy it.
DeleteYes!! I think it is worth owning a physical copy for sure, and if we had more space, I would. It's so good, I can't wait to talk about it with you. I think you'll like it.
DeleteOooh! I would like to know more about the story of Titanic! Great pick!

There are plenty of books to read on the subject, I can recommend several!
DeleteI find the Titanic fascinating. I can't wait to see what you think of this one!
ReplyDeleteIt was sooooo good. I like the author as well, his book about Catherine Howard was fantastic. He's very thorough and is not prone to must haves and could haves, like some authors. It's a great read.
DeleteThat looks like a great book. I added a book, All the Remains by Sue Black. It's about a forensic pathologist and her life dissecting people. So far it's pretty interesting.
ReplyDeleteI may have to add that one to my TBR, that sounds awfully interesting and also gross.
DeleteLast week was epic. 5 from the library, four of which are bestsellers from 1965, because I have finished my 1964 list! Then I went with a friend to Barnes & Noble to watch her spend her birthday gift certificates and I bought 4 books myself, three of which were paperbacks of books by Toni Morrison because I am rereading all her novels these days.
