    1. It's possible. I think I found it on GR because I was looking up a different one you had recently posted about. But I can't remember for sure. I know I only found it around that time. It's a decent read, you'll find it interesting.

    1. I like it so far. Truly, I had never before given thought to what happened to the rest of the family after Nicholas and his family were murdered.

  3. I hope the Viking Wars doesn't suck. I want an excuse to get it. :)

Bummer about the DNF, but I feel like sometimes books like that bomb- trying to draw parallels between popular franchises and history. I mean, it can be done, but it also can be done poorly lol...

    1. So far, so good on the Vikings book.

If you are a huge GoT fan (I'm not. I like the original material better, especially when Dan Jones is writing it), you'll be interested. But even that was not what was off-putting to me. The fact is, once I read Jones' Powers and Thrones, I can't bother to read anyone else writing about the Middle Ages. Like, his book is the new Middle Ages Bible. The depth and width and breadth of that work is all-encompassing. No one can even come close. Too bad DJ didn't write this one, I would have stuck with it!

    2. That's good to know. I've been a big GoT fan but I've soured on it lately with all the delays. And I should say my fannishness extends to the books only- I HATED the show. But I do have that book on my list so glad to hear you liked it!

    3. I'm a sucker for anything about the Vikings...which is why it is so hard ot DNF books, but that warfare one was a snoozefest.

I never got into GoT, books or show. I hope you get the final installment of the series at some point...at this rate though, who knows.

  4. i've once again gotten trapped in Tarzan's world... E.R. Burroughs is a better writer than one might think...

    1. I've never read any of the books. I think I saw the Disney movie once, and I remember thinking they way they drew his hair really annoyed me.
