DeleteI am a big believer in reading a series in order, even if the titles are stand-alones. I don't know if it is my OCD or what. I can't stand things out of order. I want to read all of her books, and I think I would love them quite a lot. But how can one top 'And Then There Were None', one of my top three fave books of ALL TIME???

It really was! The Earps definitely had a different outlook on marriage, but it was the West after all, and life certainly was different. I knew they'd all been married or had common law wives many times, but I really loved learning as much about the women themselves as we can possibly hope to know.
DeleteI love the Wild West books. I used to read nonfiction like that when I was a preteen and obsessed with adventure stories. I hope you enjoy these!

I never watched Glee, but something about Naya's story struck me hard. I watched the coverage for days, and repeatedly watched her rendition of 'If I Die Young' for Finn/Cory. I could not stop bawling. She was incredibly talented and I have watched several clips of her from the show. I am not even sure what drew me in, but I enjoyed the book and wish I would have watched the show from the beginning and gotten to know Santana Lopez, she was a badass, much like Naya herself sounded.

I recently reviewed that NetGalley ARC about Wyatt Earp's Vendetta Ride to avenge Morgan's murder and the attempt on Virgil's life. It sparked my interest in the West again, and Clavin is a great writer!

ReplyDeleteI thought I was over the West for a while but then writing my ARC review of his book on Tombstone sparked the love in me again. I definitely recommend the his Tombstone book, about Wyatt Earp's Vendetta Ride. I am anxious to start the other two. Sometimes the West can be a tad on the boring side, depending who is doing the writing. Clavin so far has not disappointed!
