    1. It really was! And the best part is, I'm still motivated to review ARCs, so I will hopefully get a couple more done before teacher work days start on Wednesday. I also want to try to get some non-ARCs reviewed and scheduled, so there will still be new content even when I am busy. But the stacks of library books are ALSO calling me, so...

    1. Thank you!! I was most worried about the ARCs goal, but once I got going it was pretty easy. And Eleanor is SUCH a re-reader that she didn't finish her sixth new book until a couple days before the deadline. But we made it!

  3. I haven't tried counting the number of books I've read in June. I can only think of all the ones left to be read, and there are so many! Have a good reading week.

    1. I created this post immediately after I did the initial post that outline our summer goals, so I was constantly updating it as we went along. Easy peasy, that way. Thanks for coming by!

  4. You always read the most interesting books. And I am sure you must read more than thirty minutes a day. LOL

    1. Oh, for sure. More like a couple hours a day, lol. But Eleanor is as much a mood reader as I am, not only being in the mood for a certain book, but for her she also just has to be in the mood to read, period.

    2. You know me so well, lol. I plan to read as much as I can today and tomorrow before teacher meetings start on Wednesday!

  5. I am not ready for summer to be over yet! My daughter's school year starts this coming Friday and it feels way too soon. You and Nora did great with your summer reading goals, Sarah! How disappointing about Slayers, Every One of Us. Like you, I was thinking it was for us fans too and am not familiar with the authors' podcast. So probably not a book for me. I think it's funny how we're opposites when it comes to our ratings for The Villa and The Wife Upstairs. :-) I do want to read Reckless Girls and The Heiress at some point. I hope you have a good week and month of August!

    1. That does seem so soon, even by our standards. Here students start back the second week of August (I report on Wednesday for teacher meetings), and we get out the week before Memorial Day. But I grew up in Minnesota, where we started after Labor Day and got out in June.

The Buffy book was such a disappointment. But I have tons of great recs if you'd ever be interested.

That's so funny about Hawkins' books and our varying takes. I LOVED Reckless Girls so much, and am glad I kept reading after Wife.

Enjoy these last couple days of summer!!

    1. Thank you!! It's amazing what I can do when I sit down and focus for five minutes, lol. Teacher work days start Wednesday...I am not ready.

    2. I know it becomes almost impossible to balance setting up for the year and enjoying life, but do try to take some time for yourself over the next week.

    3. Thank you! I am going to have to be very patient with myself for the next two weeks, when I am too tired to do anything but shower and go to sleep when I get home.
