Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To

I am a major mood reader, so I do not really single out specific books I want to read at a specific time, unless they are author gifts, ARCs, etc. Instead, here are the last ten books I added to my TBR that I hope to get to before the apocolypse.

Top Ten Tuesday | Favorite Books of 2023

Each year I do a post recalling every five-star read from that year. You can find that post HERE to see all of them. I have included some of my very most favorites for this list, in no particular order. I couldn't narrow it to ten, so here's what I absolutly could not leave behind.

Have you read any of these, or are any on your TBR? Hope you find something new here that you will enjoy as much as I did!

Happy Reading,
Sarah

Top Ten Tuesday | New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2022

Ever since Karen McManus completely upended my world with One of Us is Lying, I have strayed far and wide from my non-fiction treasures. I always come home to them again, but I have discovered that despite not being the target audience, I really fucking love YA mysteries/thrillers. Here are some authors I found in 2022, in no particular order. The books I include with each author are those I have rated four stars or higher. I did not necessarily love all books by the author, but I really, really loved these. It serves as a great reminder for me that I will never love EVERYTHING an author writes, unless that author is my most favorite historian of all time, Dan Jones. No exceptions. Not even for my queen, Karen McManus (You'll Be the Death of Me was not my fave).

1. Jennifer Lynn Barnes

2. Mindy McGinnis

3. Amy Reed

4. Goldy Moldavsky

5. Ginny Myers Sain

6. Jennifer Donaldson

7. Nicole Lesperance

8. Kathleen Glasgow

9. Jessica Goodman

10. Kara Thomas

11. Lily Sparks

12. Natalie C. Parker

Are any of these authors new to you, or are they old favorites? Have you read other books by them that you loved? Let me know!
