Stacking the Shelves #348

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

This is ALL of September's aquisitions. Chaotic doesn't even begin to describe the month!

  1. Well, you won't run out of things to read any time soon :) September was really busy. I hope despite it's chaos, it was a good month for you. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you, Cindy! September was...chaotic. Involved a multi-day hospital stay for Eleanor. All is well now, but we were quite busy and then recovering. Plus sports and music lessons and lots of just, STUFF, I guess? Hopefully October is boring!!

    1. Thank you, some have been quite good so far, when I have had the energy to read! I requested Past Mistakes from the library - because of course even when you only get ONE book, it's one I want to read, lol.

    2. Well, you *are* an alternate me, so...... Oh, and I investigated the publisher of 'Past Mistakes' and added a bazillion books to my Wish List.... Some of which, inevitably, will end up here on my Bought List.

    1. Oh, yes! The problem is my Fall goal is to get more reviews written, but here I am still collecting books from the library, lol.

  4. So obviously I want to know what you think of The Understudy, but I'm also curious to hear your thoughts on Only If You're Lucky. I won't share more about that one until you've read it

    1. I thought I would enjoy The Understudy, but I ended up DNF-ing it a couple days ago. I got a fair way through it, a bit after the part where the main character insists Yolanda can't be at rehearsals with her anymore because of the subway incident. And she met with the opera's author about her role. Something was just not clicking and I just did not care if Yolanda stole the role or not. What did I miss??

    1. So far most have been good reads. I am excited for Ninth House, it's been recommended to me a couple times and so I finally checked it out.
