    1. Happy Mother's Day to you as well! I've read books by both of these authors so fingers crossed that these are winners also! Funny you should mention being well, I have that stupid massive cold/sinus infection/whatever I had a month ago! No fever this time though, so much easier to deal than before, at least!

  3. Just ONE (non-fiction) as predicted. Not 100% sure if you'll be interested or not...

    1. Heather Cox Richardson is BRILLIANT and her daily columns are must-reads. I will put this on the maybe list. Living through it is so exhausting that sometimes reading about what we are living through it too much.

    2. I've watched quite a few HCR vids on YouTube. She's one SMART cookie. VERY incisive and a brilliant communicator - which is why I went looking for her books! I'm 'planning' to read something on Ukraine, Iran, Taiwan & Cuba on rotation to keep up to speed with what's going on (and down). Its a way of me keeping things in perspective - but I know what you mean about EXHAUSTING times!

    3. Yes she is! It's so crazy how she started out just writing about what she was thinking as a history professor at Boston College, and has exploded into being the voice of all this chaos. I don't even know what's happening in Taiwan and Cuba, what have I missed?? See: EXHAUSTED!

  5. I haven't read Catherine Ryan Howard since her "covid thriller" several years ago. I'll be eager to hear your thoughts on this latest!

    1. I've read several of her books at this point and really like her. Incidentally, the Covid one is my least favorite, but I read it in 2021 so I don't think we were far enough removed from the trauma for me to be in the right headspace for it.

Run Time is my most favorite of hers, five stars from me. Rewind, The Liar's Girl, and The Trap were four stars for me. I think you'll like her. If you pick one up, let me know!
