Stacking the Shelves #64

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

    1. You know I won't hold back! I read it last night in a couple hours, and I may be able to get the review done before I go pick up Eleanor from her dad's.

    1. Oh man, another for my TBR. Uprising seems incredibly timely, with the world being on fire and all.

  3. Among the Heroes sounds like a timely book. And Ten looks awesome. I hope you enjoy both of these! Have a great weekend!

    1. Ten could have been awesome, if I had never read And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie's masterpiece. Ten was decent if viewed through the lens of teen horror. But with my knowledge of the original, it was definitely lacking. Among the Heroes is one I have been wanting to read for a while, but sometimes I have to be in the right frame of mind to read about 9/11. It is still so soul-crushing, even 18 years later.

    1. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I would have probably liked it more if I had never read And Then There Were None. It would have been a decent YA horror. I am hopeful that Among the Heroes will be a better read for me.

  5. Two for me this week:
Wild Game by Adrienne Brodeur, a memoir from my Nervous Breakdown subscription
A Passage to India by E M Forester from the library to be read for a reading group.

  6. Officially, nothing. I'm under a general Amazon/Steam ban.

Off the record, there may have been some $1 sales I took advantage of. BUT THOSE DON'T COUNT!!!
