Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

What did you add to your stash this week?
Happy Reading!

You got TEN! I read that one a few years ago. Spill when you;re done haha!
ReplyDeleteYou know I won't hold back! I read it last night in a couple hours, and I may be able to get the review done before I go pick up Eleanor from her dad's.
DeleteThree for me this week:
ReplyDeleteFiction:
The Family by Louise Jensen
Neon Prey by John Sandford
Non-Fiction:
This is an Uprising - How Nonviolent Revolt is Shaping the Twenty-First Century by Mark Engler and Paul Engler
Oh man, another for my TBR. Uprising seems incredibly timely, with the world being on fire and all.
DeleteOh, I have a LOT of political/protest/resistance books on my Wish List prompted by the worlds situation ATM..... I think I'll become a resource for this sort of thing! [grin] I'm sure I'm on a 'List' somewhere.... [lol]
DeleteI am probably on the same list right along with you, lol
DeleteAmong the Heroes sounds like a timely book. And Ten looks awesome. I hope you enjoy both of these! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteTen could have been awesome, if I had never read And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie's masterpiece. Ten was decent if viewed through the lens of teen horror. But with my knowledge of the original, it was definitely lacking. Among the Heroes is one I have been wanting to read for a while, but sometimes I have to be in the right frame of mind to read about 9/11. It is still so soul-crushing, even 18 years later.
DeleteI recently read Ten and really enjoyed it! Perfect for spooky season! I hope you love both of these!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoyed it! I would have probably liked it more if I had never read And Then There Were None. It would have been a decent YA horror. I am hopeful that Among the Heroes will be a better read for me.
DeleteTwo for me this week:
ReplyDeleteWild Game by Adrienne Brodeur, a memoir from my Nervous Breakdown subscription
A Passage to India by E M Forester from the library to be read for a reading group.
Not too shabby at all. Happy Reading!
DeleteOfficially, nothing. I'm under a general Amazon/Steam ban.
ReplyDeleteOff the record, there may have been some $1 sales I took advantage of. BUT THOSE DON'T COUNT!!!
omg, there is a library sale going on right now and I am not allowed to buy anything. It is THE. WORST.
