ReplyDeleteThat has been my problem lately, adding so many and not reading fast enough, or deleting enough that I have to just admit I am no longer interested in! Luckily all of these were on the TBR, so it did not impact those tallies negatively!
DeleteNow *that's* an interesting mix! Lizzie Borden is quite a 'thing' ATM. Why is that I wonder? Movie, books, novels...... [looks intrigued]
ReplyDeleteA much better haul this week than expected. I felt the need to cheer myself up & I ended up @ the Mall with plenty of time prior to 'Dark Phoenix'. So....

I didn't even know that Borden is a popular topic again, interesting. We no longer have Netflix, and never watch tv, so I have no idea what's going on unless I seek out news. I find that is better for my blood pressure for a while.
DeleteI have such a love/hate with ancient Rome. I love Roman Britain, like, TO DEATH and could read about that all day. But actual Rome, I get frustrated after a while. Looks like you had quite a good haul, well done!

ReplyDeleteI am nearly done with Chasing the Devil. It's engaging and has kept my attention - I do not ever remember hearing about this guy ever being caught, though thankfully he was - though he started the killing spree maybe a year or so before I was born. it is so insane to me that he was on the loose for so long, that he evaded the police. But, we are only as good as our technology when it comes to DNA, sharing info from a big database, etc, so it is hard to fault the detectives when it is clear they were working night and day on it.
DeleteSadly, The Shift was a DNF for me already. Not sure quite why, just could not get into it. But, definitely give it a try, you may like it better than me!
