DUDE! I was genuinely so worried about what your list would look like this week! I see some that I am interested in but will await your review first. Women Who Dared, though...I am all over that one! Though I am not cool with Coco Chanel and her love of Nazis, blech. Outstanding work, my friend. This is fantastic list of new treasures.
DeleteYeah, I read about Chanel in the Paris women book I reviewed recently. She was definitely NOT cool! I was so amused by the 'Priests De La Resistance' book I just HAD to buy it. i mean... TWO puns in the same title and they're both funny. [lol] The other one I'm pleased with is the Dunkirk book, published in 1945 and authored by one of the 'small boat' captains that crossed the English Channel to pick up soldiers off the beach. I do love me some 'I was there' narratives.
DeleteI might be interested in the Dunkirk one then. I know nothing about the event but the basic facts that everyone knows.
DeleteAs part of my 'Britain Alone' set of books I have about 5-6 Dunkirk related works to read/review. I'm sure that both of us will know a LOT more about it when I've been through them! [lol]
DeleteMost definitely. Looking forward ot the reviews!
DeleteThe girls are all so nice here sounds like a line from Mean Girls! Stay clear!!

I love Mean Girls, it is one of my favorite movies. The Girls Are All So Nice Here was awful and I wish I had not wasted time reading it! I already posted my review: https://allthebookblognamesaretaken.blogspot.com/2021/05/book-review-girls-are-all-so-nice-here.html

ReplyDeleteThey have co-hosted it for a really long time. Our links have always posted on both blogs but when Tynga's Reviews went offline, I just began posting there.
