  1. 1517 and Final Girls both look good. And Viking Heart too, of course, because Vikings. :)

    1. You'll like Final Girls. In fact, I think you'd like any Riley Sager. Survive the Night was super good also. I am going to do mini reviews, hopefully today even!

1517 was a disappointment. I was anticipating more about that specific day, Luther, the Theses. Nope, it was basically about reconciliation between the Lutheran and Catholic Church. Definitely misleading.

    1. Well aren't you just the most rotten boy, dropping all of these on me!

I already own House of Beaufort, and I was surprised to find Blood of the Celts and Islands of Abandonment in my library catalog, so technically they don't even have to go on my TBR because I wil be reading them soon.

Crisis averted, you're not so rotten after all ;)

    2. Oh, I've been called WAY worse... [lol] I suspected that most of them wouldn't appeal - having taken place within 100 years. [grin] You should be pretty safe for a while. No excessive trips planned until Feb when I'm planning to visit my fave Indie bookstore in 'town'.

  5. I grew up Lutheran, so the book about Martin Luther sounds interesting! White Trash is one I've been interested in as well. Enjoy your new books!

    1. I did as well, though I have to admit the book was really disappointing. I thought it would be a short bio and directly relate to the events of that day and the Theses. Instead there was a snippet about Luther and the rest was about ecumenicalism, and reconciliation of the Lutheran and Catholic Church. Definitely not what I was expecting.

White Trash is one I went back and forth on for ages. I ended up liking it, and the class history becomes so much more obvious when you see it stretch all the way back to the first colonies.
