Stacking the Shelves #222

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

My Library Treasures

Happy Reading!

  1. That's a LOT of books and seems like a really good variety. Your library must love you!

    1. Oh yes, for sure. Eleanor and I are in there a couple times a week. Last night I managed to max out both our library cards, and I still have four holds that had come in. Luckily they know I will bring books back just as quickly as I check them out, so they let me take all of them!

  2. Ooh you got Secrets So Deep. I have that too but haven't started it yet. The premise is so me.

Moon of the Crusted Snow I didn't love, but I'm super curious to hear what you think of it after you finish. I definitely have thoughts. I just buddy read it with a couple other bloggers and it makes for great discussion.

    1. I did not love Secrets. I think Dark and Shallow Lies was better. Secrets was good, but not great. As for Crusted Snow...I ended up DNF-ing it. I was so bored.

    2. Thank you. I was not a huge fan of Snow. And Secrets... I need there to be killer mermaids or water things if it's skimpy on those I'll be irritated.

    3. No killer mermaids or water monsters, but I don't want to spoil anything else. The connection to the water is important though.

    4. I mean paranromal is fine, it doesn't have to be creatures, but if it's all teenage angst

    5. It's got some paranormalish qualities to it, not as ghosts exactly but you'll see what I mean. Not a ton of teen angst, she's trying to figure out what really happened to her mom when she died. But there is a boy, because there is ALWAYS a boy. Or girl. But this time it's a boy.

  5. It'll be interesting to see what you think of 'The Deep' what with your love of all things Titanic!

Only two novels from me this week and they'll probably be the last books of the year.

East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Mr Bunting at War by Robert Greenwood

    1. Ugh, The Deep. And hooray for no more books from you :P

    2. LOL - The Deep.... Just knowing a *hint* about it I thought it might not be 'you' despite your love of all things spooky.

    3. I went against my better judgment and have no one to blame but myself!
