  1. You added a decent amount to the stack this week :) I hope you enjoy them all when you get to them. Have a great weekend!

  2. So.... As predicted a BUMPER crop for me again this week, as I visited my fave Indie bookshop last week for my early, early Christmas book shopping trip. The bad news (for you I'm afraid) is that I think there's a few you're going to like. The *good* news is that I probably won't be buying all that many in the run-up to Christmas itself. [DEEP breath]

    Fiction:

The Last Man Standing by Davide Longo
Sherlock's Sisters - Stories from the Golden Age of the Female Detective edited by Nick Rennison

    Non-Fiction

Blues People - Negro Music in White America by LeRoi Jones
Fathoms - The World in the Whale by Rebecca Giggs
A Very Stable Genius - Donald J Trump's Testing of America by Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig
Talking at the Gates - A Life of James Baldwin by James Campbell
Dark and Magical Places - The Neuroscience of How We Navigate by Christopher Kemp
Gun Barons - The Weapons that Transformed America and the Men Who Invented Them by John Bainbridge, Jr
Russia's Road to War with Ukraine - Invasion Amidst the Ashes of Empire by Samir Puri
America on Fire - The Untold History of Police Violence and Black Rebellion Since the 1960's by Elizabeth Hinton

Oh, and in other good news (for me!) 5 of the above were already on my Amazon Wish List so my trip saved me LOADS of dosh!

    1. I definitely want to read America on Fire. Gun Barons is on my Kindle, I got it from NetGalley AGES ago. I would give Stable Genius a try but I am pretty sure it will make me so angry all over again.
