I am reviving this little feature after eight years. You might see a couple recycled from when I did this in 2016, but they were funny then and they are still funny now. Occasionally they will be more introspective or comforting. No matter what, they will be about reading and books.
This is why I am so selective about what kinds of fiction I read. I am trying to avoid this kind of let-down.

DeleteI choose what I read very carefully to avoid letdowns as much as possible but I understand that sometimes a story demands a sad ending.

DeleteI think the *worst* ending I had from a book I was REALLY enjoying was something like: 'Then [the main character] looked back, and.....' Yup, THAT'S how the book ended. RIGHT there! Oh, I was SO mad at that point....!!!
