It was the BEST WEEK EVER!!!!!! I am almost finished with The World Aflame already, big surprise. Eleanor is next! Dan Jones said this book on Eleanor completely changes some things we thought we knew and that it is excellent. So, obviously it is excellent before I even read it. I am so psyched for it.

DeleteSome branches are open for curbside pick up but none are close to me. I am doing fine though. No shortage of books to read in my house. In fact I went through my unread shelves last week and found a whole pile of books I want to read right now!
DeleteIt's so strange; I thought I would get tons of my own books read and sold to Half Price Books. Turns out I want the library EVEN MORE when I can't have it, so I requested a bunch and we went twice a week to get our books that we did not actually need once curbside started, and well, here we are with no books to sell back to HPB.

DeleteI was completely taken in by the cover as well. Unfortunately, I hated the book! But you may well still like it and should definitely give it a read.
Ahh, I picked up Catherine House pretty recently too, but I need to get to it! It sounds great, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes! I am super into boarding schools right now so that is why I picked it up. I loved Good Girls Lie and The Broken Girls. This one fell flat for me, but I won't say why because I do not want to color your reading experience.
