Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

Back to 'normal' here so only 5 this week. Nothing much to interest you (probably) - so you're safe!
ReplyDeleteFiction:
War of the Worlds - Global Dispatches edited by Kevin J Anderson
The Nizam's Daughters by Allan Mallinson
Kings of Albion by Julian Rathbone
Non-fiction:
The Almost Nearly Perfect People - Behind the Myth of the Scandinavian Utopia by Michael Booth
Fighting the Flying Circus by Capt Eddie V Rickenbacker
A decent haul that won't crush my TBR! I am interested in the Scandinavian Utopia one, but I will wait for your review.
DeleteI like the look of Please Remain Calm - enjoy reading them!
ReplyDeleteIt was really good! It's a novella, but the sequel to This is Not a Test. I just posted my review for them last night also if you're interested https://allthebookblognamesaretaken.blogspot.com/2020/08/case-study-why-i-simultaneously-love.html
DeleteThis Is Not A Test was a trip, and Please Remain Calm was awesome too.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping she will do a third one. I don't care if it is a novella or a full length book. I have to know why the light is on in the cabin!!
DeleteI look forward to your review of The City We Became!
ReplyDeleteI broke down and ordered used copies of the next books in two of my favorite series, so that is what arrived this week. But yesterday I buckled down and found the nearest library branch to me doing curb-side pick up. It's time to use the library again!
High Country by Nevada Barr
The Fallen Angel by Daniel Silva
Eek, I ended up DNF-ing it. I could not get into it and I don't know why. I think I will try to come back to it in a less stressful time and see if I connect more with it then.
DeleteHooray for returning to the library!
