    1. It definitely would have been more interesting that way! It was so poorly written and awkward, I am surprised it was a Prime Reads choice. Like, I have read some shitty Prime choices before, but it was more a matter of events/characters in the story being dumb or illogical. This was completely a poor writing skill fail.

    1. A good haul for you, indeed! I am so looking forward to your thoughts on Concrete Rose. I can't remember if I have asked already, did you already read The Hate U Give?

    2. Yes, I have read The Hate U Give. Loved it and the movie too!

    3. I still have not seen the movie. I want to, but I also loved the book so much that I don't know if I could love it nearly as much. It does make me feel better that you love them both; I probably will too in that case.

  3. Just 2 for me this week:

    1. Nice. I like when you choose non-fiction war books that focus on military - I am less likely to read those and it gives my TBR a chance to breathe, lol :)

    2. I keep thinking I'm reading too much WW1/WW2 stuff and then, when I check, realise that actually I'm hardly reading any. I do want to read more of the 'odd' stories though - not so much battles and stuff but things like prison escapes, espionage, the home front/women & children's experiences, special forces..... Things like that.

    3. That's definitely where my interest lies. I have never been much for military history. The closest I've come, is reading about the attack on Pearl Harbor. I would rather read about those topics you mentioned, the societal impacts of the wars, the homefront, escapes, etc.

    1. Thanks Lisa! I really liked it but I don't think anything will ever compare to The Hate U Give.
