Happy Reading!

Interested in the Rappaport book (she's very good). I actually HAVE an unread copy of 'Local Girl Missing'..!
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 from me this week (with 1 in the post). All non-fiction:
Enemies Within - Communists, The Cambridge Spies and the Making of Modern Britain by Richard Davenport-Hines
A Short History of Europe from Pericles to Putin by Simon Jenkins
Dead Famous - An Unexpected History of Celebrity from Bronze Age to Silver Screen by Greg Jenner
Yes! I have read the others Rappaport has done on the Romanovs so I am interested in this conclusion. I've never read of the Romanovs after the murders of the royal family, so this will be completely new territory for me.
DeleteAs usual, I spy two that I want - the Short History and Dead Famous. Get to them quickly so I can decide to read them or not, lol.
I'm currently reading Dan Jones' latest which I believe you read sometime back. I'm finding it very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting!! It's truly marvelous, and I think it will be the defining work of his career. To cover that much history and do it well is an incredible feat. I hope you love it!
DeleteOoh you have all the Lapena's! I liked An Unwanted Guest quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteGaia and Luna- that looks interesting...
I've read them all now and am waiting for her latest, Not a Happy Family. It's not too bad of a queue, I am #20 on 19 copies so hopefully by the weekend!
Deletei downloaded a bunch of golden age mysteries from the Roy Glashan library on Gutenberg Australia after deciding i wasn't apt to read much else any more: a temporary spasm most likely, lol...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them...are you doing alright?
