  1. I like the title of Salt House Palace. I am intrigued because last year I read a book called Salt House. It was fantastic.

    1. Who is the author of the one you read? I looked for it on Goodreads but saw a couple with that title.

  2. Just one from me - although I'm afraid you might be adding it....

'Women of the Pioneer Trail - Two Accounts of the American Westward Expansion during the 19th Century' by Lavinia Honeyman Porter (1860) and Sarah Raymond Herndon (1865).

    1. Isolation probably, plus easier to control the environment (AKA make stuff up) for the author... [grin]

    2. Greg - Such potential, but was awful and I hated it. The island setting was one of the big appeals but it was so poorly written.

CK - EXACTLY. Locked room, but with lots of space to move around.

  5. Following Caesar and Elizabeth's Women look intriguing to my history lover's mind. I may need to search for those. Happy reading this week!

    1. I love history, it is my favorite genre. I have branched out into YA thrillers, but non-fiction will always be my first love.

  8. I'm always impressed at how many books you get through. I've got a few true-crime reads set in the coming months that I'm very excited about. I also just watched Oppenheimer, so naturally I want to read American Prometheus. It is a door stop of a book, so I just have to find the time to devote to it haha.

    1. Thank you! I feel like I have really slowed down now that school is starting next week. I haven't seen Oppenherimer yet and don't know if I will ever get to the biography...it is massive. Maybe we can buddy read it some day and it'll take us like, 10 years.
