Would You Rather... | #36

I began posting this back in 2018 and thought I would bring it back, given that my motivation to blog has returned with force. You might recognize some from prior use, but I am changing up which ones are paired together to give a variety of choices.

There's no real criteria or guidelines. Choose the nook you would love most if given a choice, justify it however you'd like.

Nook A

Nook B

Which one do you love most?

Happy Reading!

    1. I'd feel a lot more comfortable there.

    2. I love the shelves for B, but I would need a different way to sit. I like to recline when I read and I am very tall so I don't think that couch would work for me.

    3. #TallGirlProblems

Eleanor and I just measured her this morning and she is now 5'3. And she won't be 11 until mid-July. I was 5'7 by the time I was 12.

    4. I first had to go and convert. She's not that much smaller than me, I'm 1.72 which converts to 5.64.

    5. Sometimes I feel like she is growing an inch a month. Her last growth spurt seemed to last forever. Buying clothes is so hard because she outgrows everything so fast.

    6. I remember that from my boys. At least I could pass them on to the second one but it still is hard.

    7. Luckily we have close friends with younger kiddos to pass them on to, but I also donate a lot to one of the charities here that doesn't charge people to buy items they need.

    8. I always either passed them on or donated or sold them on our nearly new sale where the proceeds went to a good cause.

    9. YES! I never donate to Goodwill or Salvation Army here because they charge people in their stores, and their CEOs make 6-figures. There's a place called Open Door Mission that let's people take what they need and is an actual non-profit.

    10. Oh, that's interesting. We have a charity here that sell stuff but they give the money to the same place where the clothes etc. go that we donate directly. They often get more money for it and they can buy other things people need.

    11. And it's all run by volunteers. They don't get anything. All the proceeds go to the charity.

    12. That's great! Definitely seems a lot more helpful than some "charities" here. It's really shitty. I never donate to them. Salvation Army is always outside of grocery stores at Christmas time to get donations and I look like a terrible person for not donating, but my money is not going to line a CERO's pockets. I donate to places directly helping those in need.

    13. I don't feel bad when I don't donate to a special cause. Especially if they more or less pressure me into doing that.

    14. A lot of people don't know these things about Goodwill or Salvation Army and so people just kind of mindlessly put money in the bucket when they walk by. They do some good, but not nearly enough, for what they get in donations.

    15. That's always the problem with a lot of charities.

    16. Yep, that's why I prefer to give directly to a place that has people living on-site in the Mission's housing, who also have a very visible presence in the city in their outreach work.

    17. The more we know about a charity, the better.
