Here we go!
This is year SIX of Tackling the TBR and I finally have things sort-of under control. My ultimate goal is to get under 500 books, but I also have to be realistic - just think of all the books not even written yet that I will want to read. When I started this mess I was at well over 5,000 books on the TBR, so to be where I am now is pretty incredible.
I will post on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and last day of the month.

How was 'How to Survive History'? It certainly *sounds* interesting!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun little jaunt through history that had a surprising amount of scientific facts masquerading as easy pop history. I read it within maybe two hours last night. I then went and requested two of this other books from the library - And Then You're Dead and Who Ate the First Oyster.
DeleteThe author concludes that someone reasonably in shape could outrun a full grown t-rex. It's the juveniles that would definitely catch you!
COOL. I'll add it to my List!
DeleteYay! It covered some of my most favorite topics - Pompeii, the Ice Age, dinosaurs, Titanic, and a whole host of others. I didn't like that he called the early Middle Ages the 'dark ages', because we know that's not actually true and all the monks in Ireland at the time would like to have a word about that label. BUT, I really liked it. You will too.
