Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

Happy Reading
Sarah
I had a chance to download this one but haven’t been reading much historical fiction lately.
ReplyDeleteI don't read historical fiction at all. This one is non-fiction.
DeleteMall trip this week to pick up some medical supplies.... But I'd already had a book delivered so wasn't expecting to pick up any more. So....
ReplyDeleteFiction:
Murder in Transit by Edward Marston
Hunted by Abir Mukherjee
The Painter's Daughters by Emily Howes
Non-Fiction:
Enzo Ferrari - The Definitive Biography of an Icon by Luca Dal Monte
Empireworld - How British Imperialism Has Shaped the Globe by Sathnam Sanghera
Warrior Queens & Quiet Revolutionaries - How Women (Also) Built the World by Kate Mosse
The Picnic - An Escape to Freedom and the Collapse of the Iron Curtain by Matthew Longo
Winkle - The Extraordinary Life of Britain's Greatest Pilot by Paul Beaver
In Search of Berlin - The Story of Europe's Most Important City by John Kampfner
Not expecting *anything* next week or longer............ Until my Indie visit in April for my Birthday Book Blow-out
Okay but you always say you're 'not expecting anything' and then still manage to sneak 1 or 2 onto my TBR! lol
DeleteHere's what I am into: Ferrari, Warrior Queens (duh), and Berlin. Maaaaaaybe The Picnic but always iffy on that time period.
I thought I saw 'Warrior Queens' on one of your previous posts? It's what alerted me to it being out there needing to be bought? Maybe it was in an alternate timeline where you got it first... [muses]
DeleteI imagine a smaller stack after last week is welcome :)
ReplyDeleteYes! It was lovely. But today's post was a massive haul again *facepalm*
DeleteIf you want to stack your shelf, I just found this.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.amazon.de/Number-One-Heaven-Heroes-Died/dp/0141022876/
I don't know how much it would be to be sent to the States. Alternatively, I could order it and send it to you.
I also checked Amazon and it's $24 with free shipping. But I am having such a hard time giving Amazon any money, because Bezos will happily attend trump's inaugeration and continue to benefit from this shitty 'administration'. Ugh.
DeleteI totally understand. The one on the German site is also amazon but it's a used copy sold by someone else. Of course, the big A will also earn throught that.
DeleteUnfortunately, for me, it's often impossible to get certain English books elsewhere ...
