Just two library books in this week: Inheritance by Dani Shapiro and With Shuddering Fall, Joyce Carol Oates's first novel. I plan to reread that one. Yesterday I took back a huge stack of library books, all read, all reviewed. My superpowers are working!

It's more interesting than not, I found myself much more into the earliest explorations of the island, but it is still a good read. We don't have any television channels for the time being, so I have not see that show. What is it about?
DeleteI just saw Oak Island on a display table at Barnes and Noble yesterday. I didn't have time to take a peek though.
DeleteBlack Spot is a french/ Belgian production set in an eerie little town in France where strange things happen. the trees bleed, the crows are weird and there's... something... in the forest. Perhaps a throwback to Celtic gods? I LOVE how eerie it is.
Weird! Sounds like a show I would love.
DeleteI finished the book today. I liked it but unless you are super into Oak Island and are obsessed with it, it is one you can get from the library.
I haven't heard of these books before, but they all sound interesting!

DeleteWell, I'm interested in *almost* everything so we're bound to get a lot of intersections. Very few people find even half of what I find interesting also interesting. It's a burden but I carry it with style....

I finished it pretty quickly, just a couple hours. it was an interesting read and the complete lack of oversight and cuts made to correctional facilities is alarming.
DeleteI'm still uploading political books I bought weeks ago onto my TBR! The whole plot of the Da Vinci Code fascinates me and at some point I intend to read more on the subject. It might be a couple of years after I tame the current TBR!

ReplyDeleteThank you Fora! My mom enjoys the show. Eleanor and I do not have cable - or any channels, actually - but I always watch it when we go home to visit my mom. It's so cool, I wish they would find something!
DeleteI enjoyed "A Nation Challenged"....stumbled on it while doing shelf maintenance at the library, as I remembered.

I just finished it today, I liked it! I have only seen some of the show (we don't have television, basically at all), because my mom watches it, and then saves some of the best episodes so we can watch them, whenever Eleanor and I get to go home. I wish that the treasure, whatever kind of treasure it might be, would be found in my lifetime.
