Eleanor Reads: October Edition

I figured I might as well stop calling this a 'special edition' seeing as how it is now a monthly thing.

It will come as a surprise to literally no one that Eleanor and I have both done a pretty solid amount of reading when school closed in March due to COVID-19. School has started now, so our reading might slow a bit but it will never stop.

Each month I will share the chapter books we've read in that period. We've been reading chapter books since before Kindergarten and her attention span as a four year old was definitely something to brag about. Eleanor was born a reader and that makes my heart so, so happy.

That Descendants book really took a bite out of our quantity this month, but no worries because there was plenty of quality. The Descendants books are pretty long - for a seven year old anyway. We are nearly done with the next one in the series but didn't quite finish by the end of October. Not to mention the fact that Eleanor is starting to read like me, and we now have several books going at once. Oops.

Do the kiddos in your life have an interest in any of these?

Happy Reading,
Eleanor and Sarah

    1. Both! She still loves to have me read to her when it is the longer chapter books, but she reads a lot to herself. And she reads all her pictures to herself. Just depends on what we are reading :)

    2. Our library system has some! Just wanted to make sure it was the right series before we start requesting, but we will definitely get them once we whittle this current pile down.

  4. My kiddo is a bit older now, but would have LOVED Wallace and Grace. :)

    1. Eleanor definitely would have liked it more if she was younger too; she is seven. The mystery was too easy she said - but definitely good for younger kids!

  5. The Buddy files look great! I hope Eleanor enjoys reading them with you.

    1. She really likes them. She loves dogs so a detective dog is like her dream come true.
