I like it so far, and I am learning much about African history related to Rhodesia/Zimbabwe/Zambia. I really like the author's style and voice.
DeleteIt always makes me laugh when I see something about Paul Revere saying "The British Are Coming!" Dude WAS British, the REDCOATS were coming!
BUT - He was born in *Boston*..... [grin] OK, The USA didn't exist then... But America did [lol]

Some great sounding books, Sarah! But Where Are You Really From? sounds like it will be an interesting read. I look forward to your thoughts on it.
ReplyDeleteI just saw mention in the news that some of the local libraries will be opening up soon in a limited capacity. I hope that will include the one we frequent. My daughter doesn't read e-books, and it would be nice to have the library as a resource again for her. I like buying books, but, man, it gets expensive!

I'm so excited for you! Did your libraries never offer curbside pick-up? That definitely saved our sanity over the summer. Select branches have now started re-opening for patrons, but they still offer curbside too. I have been pretty impressed with how seriously our library system took the pandemic, and continues to.

Ugh, right?!?! Usuaully she is THE WORST and makes me so mad/sad/frustrated, and I LOVE HER FOR IT. This was the last book of hers I had yet to read, so now I have to just sit around until Feb when The Project comes out.
