I don't give a fuck what Hitler ate for dinner. I give a fuck that millions of men, women, and children were murdered on his orders. I don't care if it was naivety or being caught up in the atmosphere of the world at that time or both. Fuck all the way off.

ReplyDeleteThe whole time I was reading, I was so angry. Like, wanted to tear the book in half. In no way shape or form can Hitler ever be softened into anything besides the monster he was. I wanted some insight as to why someone would even go to work for him, but when there is no self-awareness, I am asking for too much, which I honestly kind of expected. But still, no. It will not surprise you that I am also highly in favor of all Nazis left being tried and convicted and sent to jail for the rest of their short miserable lives. The passage of time does not make what they did any less terrible. I have no sympathy for murderers.
