  1. A good one (I think!) from me this week....

"Her name was Autumn, and like the season that had invested her with both name and temperament, her appearance heralded the onset of a fall."

  2. My first line comes from Hearts of Steel by Elizabeth Camden:
    Prologue
New York City, 1890 Lower East Side of Manhattan
Maggie Molinaro was five blocks from the safety of her uncle’s garage when she noticed the gang of boys following her.

    1. Such a great line, but the book ended up not being so enthralling. I DNF-ed it.

    1. Unfortunately I lost interest in the rest of the book, but I loved the line! I may go back to it at a later time.

  5. love your first line! does it imply humor or a murder mystery, a young inexperienced killer? All sorts of possibilities!

    1. Yes! I ended up putting it away for now. Not a permanent DNF, but I just wasn't hooked on the rest of the story.

  6. Happy Friday!
I'm currently reading The Billionaire's Nanny by Elizabeth Maddrey. It's a good story.
"'You're back!' Megan darted out from behind the cash register as soon as I stepped through the bookstore door, and pulled me into a tight hug."
I hope you have a good weekend. 😀

  7. I'm currently reading The Weight of Air by Kimberly Duffy. The first line is: "You are sure you don't want me to go with you to the station?" Have a great week!
