At my best, my NetGalley ratio was 97%. Then I proceeded to go on several binges because I have no shelf control.
In July I set a challenge for myself that you can read about HERE. This post was originally supposed to go up on July 31st, but that was the day we had this big crazy storm with hurricane-force winds that knocked out power for upwards of ten days for some. The challenge itself was pretty successful. Now I am back in review-mode so hopefully I get that ratio back up again.

I read one book at a time, very rarely two (one fiction, one nonfiction). And I see you are "currently reading" 27! Why? I really don't understand why a reader would choose to divide his/her attention among so many books. As for reading goals, my only goal is to read and enjoy and possibly learn something. But to each his/her own way of reading...
ReplyDeleteI list my ARCs as 'currently reading' as soon as I get them to remind constantly that they are there, some I am much further along in than others. I'm a mood reader and if I am not feeling like reading something, I find a different book instead. I don't usually do that with fiction - it's either read in one or two sittings or DNF-ed. With non-fiction though, I do it all the time. I have so many going because my attention is constantly fluttering about and I crave certain topics constantly, like the Plantagenets and Anglo-Saxon England, but also cramming in as much other non-fiction as I can find that interests me.
