I had all these grans plans, you might recall, being that the school district I work for is on spring break. Eleanor is in a different district than the one I teach in, so I was going to blog all day while she was at school.
But...influenza.
Baby girl was not feeling great at her dad's on Friday and Saturday, so I brought her home Saturday night and we have basically snuggled, read, played Uno, and watched movies this whole time. We went to the doctor today (imagine that, her regular pediatrician's office is at capacity so we had to see a different doctor at a different clinic in the Children's family. I wonder what the reason could be...) and she confirmed my thoughts of influenza, so we did not bother with the test because it is pretty clear that's what is going on. I was worried about pneumonia possibly, with how nasty this cough is, but luckily Eleanor's lungs sounded great. So, back home we are, snuggled up once again and watching How to Train Your Dragon.
I'll write some more reviews, eventually. Snuggling with my babe is a lot more fun, not going to lie.
Happy Reading!
Sarah
Hey! Not good news! Hope 'Baby Girl' gets better SOON.
ReplyDeleteThank you! She is asleep, but listening to the cough is just breaking my heart, it sounds so awful! I keep going in to check on her and take her temp while trying to make sure she does not wake up because she needs all the sleep she can get.
Deletewe watched movies today in between moving furniture... just the annual search for dust; hope the little one's does okay...
ReplyDeleteThank you! She is asleep now, but still coughing like crazy. I keep trying to stealthily check her temp to make sure she is not spiking a fever again.
DeleteOh my, oh my. Hang in there my friend. May Eleanor be better soonest and may you stay well.
ReplyDeleteI have had this bit of a cough for the last two weeks, but nothing else. Eleanor is finally bouncing back the last two days, and getting her appetite back THANK GOODNESS. For a while she would have tons of energy during the day but then be a blubbering mess by bedtime. No more, I am happy to say, and her energies reserves have been refilled. She has a bit of a cough still and we are constantly blowing her nose, but otherwise we are on the mend!
